Santa Fe Rotary

Rotary International is a global service organization of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who work toward a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Solving real problems takes commitment and vision from our members and the Santa Fe Community. Rotary founded in 1905 and established in Santa Fe in 1924, Rotarians have been people of action using their passion, energy, and intelligence to create sustainable projects that have lasting impact in their communities for more than 115 years. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working together to better Santa Fe!

What we do

Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 35,000+ clubs work together to:

  • Promote peace
  • Fight disease
  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Save “at risk” mothers and children
  • Support education
  • Grow local economies

Our mission

We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

In Santa Fe

On the 4th of July, 2022, the Rotary Club on Santa Fe, our sponsors and volunteers will celebrate the 47th anniversary “Pancakes of the Plaza” by serving more than 10,000 people and attracting more than 20,000 to the Plaza.  Through this event and the support of our sponsors and over 400 volunteers we have provided over $500,000 in grants to local non-profits to benefit youth and families in the Santa Fe area.

Worldwide

Rotary International initiated and, since 1988, has led the effort to eradicate the Polio virus.  Rotary’s objective is to make the globe Polio Free and prevent this crippling virus from effecting over 300,000 children annually.

The Rotary Club of Santa Fe also reaches out globally by partnering with Rotary Clubs in Guatemala in constructing community-wide potable water systems and sanitation facilities in remote Mayan villages.  Additionally, the Club has worked to improve maternal and child health by providing medical equipment to rural health clinics and coordinating obstetrical training for nurses and midwives.
